Fluffy Sheep Week

Sponsored by the Holy See of Ishgard
brought to you by the coerthan agricultural society

Every year Ishgard and all surrounding settlements come together to celebrate a key animal of the region: the karakul. The karakul has been a staple of Coerthan industry and shepherding is a long-standing tradition and the Calamity has not stopped our hearty and passionate shepherds from rearing the most excellent sheep of all of Eorzea. In the weeks leading up to the final shearing before the turn of winter, the fluffiest and most round karakul are brought forth for judging. The karakul deemed to have grown the largest, fluffiest, and most appealing coat is awarded the "Fluffiest Sheep" title for the year.

"The sheep are the only worthwhile things in this godless land." - Fiphaut Vagiere"Since the loss of my family, 'tis all I have to look forward to." - Estinien Wyrmblood, former Azure Dragoon

Meet the Sheep!

Familiarize yourself with this year's contestants.

Central Conference

223 Grigor

Grigor is known to enjoy cozy campfires and thusly is oft seen inside tents and snow huts without being invited. Luckily his cheerful countenance makes him a pleasant guest.

260 Manu

Last year's winner and favorite of the former Azure Dragoon! Manu was bred from a hearty stock and is one of the largest sheep in the competition, not just in coat size but in overall weight and girth.

35 William

William is one of the bravest ornery karakul's out there. Residing in the upper hills in the south of Camp Dragonhead, he looks down on the other karakul with his Highland Goobbue bodyguard.

538 Frufru

A karakul that is born and raised in the paddocks of the Haillenarte house, it has been pampered for the pure reason of its unusual white fur instead of the usual black. Francel himself usually takes his time to tend to the sweet little thing in his younger years, and Frufru has become close to his heart.

19 Willhemnia II

Willhemnia II is mild mannered and affable. Though she has issues with her herdmates constantly shoving her off hills.

47 Loulou

Another returning face, Loulou has been bulking up this year to further round out her shape. She's learned to ring her bell when she wants more to eat.

Western Conference

65 Fleur

In addition to her fluffy wool, Fleur enjoys bleeting loudly at off hours. Her keepers call it "singing".

812 Pierrot

Last year's runner up! Pierrot has stood out amongst his flock not only for his cheerful disposition but for particularly dark color of his thick wool. Will this year mark Pierrot's comeback?

84 Chouchou

Chouchou's dark gray wool has become quite popular with shearers and has made her stand out from the rest of her herd. She seems to know it, too.

616 Péché

A mischievous and very plush ram. All Péché wants to do is climb high things. Do not let Péché climb high things.

144 Titine

A third year contestant, Titine is placing her hopes on this being her big break! Her strategy has been fluffing up the wool particularly around her cheeks for a chubby smile.

436 Doudou

Doudou is a shy karakul of Falcon's Nest who does not like to venture far from the settlement's walls. She can be encouraged with a fresh green cabbage.
